THE PREPARATIONS
I was the first person awake and decided to start preparations on our shirts. I used the Cricut to start cutting out the words "Happy, Free, Confused and Lonely in the Best Way." I decided to use different fonts and then started testing the way it looked. Krystal awoke about the time I started testing and she immediately started helping spray paint the words, in black onto our shirts! She would hold the words as I sprayed. You can imagine how black her hands ended up after this experience. Especially since somebody kept forgetting to pay attention to which direction the nosel was pointed!
Krystal and I busted out 6 shirts in a little over an hour! That's 6 different words sets, on 6 different shirts. We made quite the team and are now considering opening a spray paint shirt business!! Karli and Paisley made us DELICIOUS breakfast sandwiches while we painted. It was a pretty perfect morning. Except for maybe the fact that our apartment was a MESS!
Krystal wanted a hand heart, but I had NO IDEA how to draw that. Luckily I had a stroke of brilliance and realized if we used a flashlight to project her hands onto the wall we could easily trace it. I didn't know how it would work out, but it went perfectly! We were quite pleased by the way it turned out!
It was about the time we finished spray painting when I realized I only had 45 minutes until I had to leave for my cousins Bridal shower, and I still needed to trace out our letters and hand heart!! I took the fastest shower I have ever taken in my life and then proceeded to speed trace all the letters while Karli brushed my hair and Paisley started cutting.
It was a MIRACLE that I was ready when my sister showed up at our door to pick me up! I was gone for a little over 3 hours and in that time Karli, Krystal, Matt and Paisley managed to cut, cover in tinfoil and light almost all of our letters! They also added a big 13, and Red Tour to the back of all the shirts! Miracle of the day #2! I helped a little when I got home, painted my nails red and at 4:30 sharp we headed for Salt Lake!
