Disneyland Magic

This topic for sure isn't a new one on my blog, and I'm sure it won't be the last. :)

Of all the places I've been in the world. Disneyland will forever be one of my favorites! For me it is one place in the world where I am able to feel completely at home. There is nothing better than walking into those gates in the morning full of excitement and hearing Walt's voice proclaim, "to all who come to this happy place, welcome!"

I love the sounds, sights, smells, thrills and all! One day I will work at Disneyland and I know it will be my most favorite job ever! There is so much magic contained in those 160 acres. The excitement fills me until I almost burst the second I see the top of Tower of Terror and Matterhorn. Ok lets be honest I'm usually filled with adrenaline days before I know I'm going!!! This energy is what I've heard some refer to as "pixie dust." The magic energy lasts for days! When the rest of the group is lagging, hungry and tired I've still got plenty of strength to fast walk/run from Indian Jones to Space Mountain to get fast passes!

I think the reason I decided to blog about this topic tonight is because I've been watching Disney videos the last couple days. I got my wisdom teeth yanked out of my mouth and decided there was nothing better than to spend the time learning more about my favorite place on earth. I watched "Walt: the Man Behind the Myth," and "Disneyland USA," along with multiple classic Disney movies. It's been a pretty great week! I am truly inspired by the man that Walt was and all that the Disney company strives to accomplish.

It's hard to describe how deep my passion for Disneyland runs. I don't think my family even understood it until they saw me at our most recent trip. They sure didn't complain when I acted as "tour guide" and helped them to get the most out of their time there! I don't think I even fully understood how deep my love of Disneyland ran until I cried throughout the entire firework show because I was so overcome with emotion! (hahaha I'm ridiculous!) I can only imagine what it will be like to see Fantasmic, my favorite show, again. It's been 7 years and counting since I've been to Disneyland while they were doing the show.

I wonder sometimes where it comes from. Is it the nostalgic memories from when I was a child watching Fantasmic and feeling the power of the music? Is it the connection to all the movies I grew up with? Or is it truly the happiest place on earth? I sure don't know, but I accept it and love it!
